Welcome to Gordonville Elementary! Gordonville- is one of seven elementary schools in the Jackson R2 School District with approximately 60 students in grades Kindergarten through second grade.  At Gordonville we follow the professional learning community model where teachers work collaboratively to plan, teach/assess, study the results, and then act. Four questions guide the work to ensure high levels of learning for all:  What do we want students to know and be able to do? How will we know if they have learned it? How will we respond when some students do not learn? How will we extend the learning for students who are already proficient? At times throughout the year, students will receive intervention.

Gordonville is also a school-wide positive behavior support (PBIS) school. PBIS is a systems approach supported by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Jackson R2 School District to promote and maximize academic achievement and behavioral competence. Students and staff at Gordonville are a TRIBE, focusing on the following words throughout the school year: Trust, Respect, Integrity, Belonging, and Empathy. School-wide expectations for each area of the building are also taught and practiced. When a school provides a welcoming and caring environment, where all follow the shared expectations, students will excel in their learning!
